Mission
ATS implements the laws and regulations in the control of social contributions and taxes in a professional, expert, efficient, effective, customer-oriented and honest manner.
The activities of the ATS are aimed at improving compliance with the legislation regarding social contributions (compliance) in order to increase the revenues. The future goal is to include tax revenues.
Our core values serve as a starting point in the exercise of our profession, aimed at the realization of our vision and mission.
Our values provide a framework for the ethical conduct of employees and relate both to their contacts with external relations and to mutual relationships. Personal responsibility comes first. Integrity is not only a matter of rules, procedures, prohibitions and commandments, but also a matter of mentality, attitude and behaviour. The rules are intended to support the employee in making the right choices. The employee is asked to judge for himself, without putting the rules aside.

As of 2025, the ATS will be a highly professional organization in the field of control of social contributions and taxes in the preventive and repressive sphere, which ensures a ratio of tax and contribution income to GDP on Sint Maarten, without technical assistance from abroad by at least 30%.
The main goal of the ATS is to improve compliance and increase tax and social security contributions on Sint Maarten. Important starting points are;
- Being a knowledgeable and impartial auditing body for SXM;
- The ATS Foundation focuses mainly on compliance with tax and social premium obligations;
- The behavior of the ATS is known, both in policy and in the duration and duration of the inspections;
- The taxpayers and contributors must derive confidence from commitments made by the ATS;
- In its inspections, the ATS Foundation will act within the powers assigned to it
Within the mission of the ATS, the management of the ATS provides the management of the SZV and the Minister of Finance with honest, expert and careful advice. The advice is aimed at increasing compliance with regard to social contributions and premium income.
The expertise and integrity within the ATS foundation is guaranteed by the background of the board, the management and its staff. The basis of expertise and integrity and respect has been laid by the training to become a Registered Accountant and the training to become a deputy accountant, the practical internship and the permanent education that our staff must follow.
In addition, the many years of experience and dedication to the position of the director provides the necessary stability within a dynamic environment.
